DESCRIPTION:2014 Taste of the Valley Kickoff\n\nUtah Valley Chamber First Friday Forum\n\n \n\nAugust 1\, 2014\, 8:00am\n\nThanksgiving Point Rose Room\n\n \n\nYou are invited to a preview of the Taste of the Valley Tailgate Party on September 6.\n\nBYU Cougars vs Texas Longhorns Game Day\n\n \n\nPreview Game Plan\n\nGet your game face on.\n\nAfter breakfast\, the two best dressed fans from each team\n\nwill compete to forecast the winner of the football game in September.\n\nPrizes will be involved.\n\n \n\nStar Quarterback Rick Allen\n\nBetter known as Thanksgiving Point Director of Food and Beverage\n\nRick will coach us in preparing selections for our own mouth watering tailgate spread.\n\nNo fumbles or flags allowed\, just tasting fabulous game day fare.\n\n \n\nStats\n\nThanksgiving Point is pleased to introduce our new Director of Food and Beverage\, Rick Allen.\n\n \n\n                  Play book: Rick oversees all menu development\, concepts and designs for our various food outlets including Harvest Restaurant\, Curiosity & Trellis Cafes\, Tower Deli and Conferences and Catering. He has had the opportunity to teach many cooking classes and appear on recurring TV cooking segments.\n\n \n\n                  Victories: Rick holds his CEC (Certified Executive Chef) Certification through the American Chef's Federation and has enjoyed working as an adjunct Chef instructor for UVU in Culinary Arts. Other venues that Rick has held the Executive Chef position are:  Sheraton Hotel in SLC and Primary Children's Hospital. \n\n \n\n                  First round draft pick:  Thanksgiving Point stole Rick from the Prime Restaurants Group where he was the Corporate/Executive Chef for Blankent Foods. He developed a line of proprietary products for Malawi's Pizza\, La Jolla Groves Restaurants\, and Spoonful of Comfort.\n\n \n\n                  Family man:  Rick has been married for 19 years to his wife\, Jenene\, and is dad to 4 children. He loves watching Little League Baseball\, shooting\, camping\, biking\, tennis and music.\n\n \n\n \n\nAre you ready for some football (food)?
